Healthy food choices for those on the constant go



Did you know that unhealthy eating and physical inactivity are the leading causes of death in the USA? Yep, it's true. Very sad, but true, and very very fixable. An unhealthy diet leads to over 650,000 deaths a year in America, diseases such as cancer, type 2 diabetes, and heart disease.

How is this fixable? Check out my other blog below that talks specifically about and gives some simple smart ideas on food choices, and a simple exercise plan as well.

In this blog, i want to talk about healthy eating choices for you super busy people that are constantly on the go, and don't really have time to whip up healthy meals at home, so you always find yourself eating out, usually at a fast food place.

College students, sales people, running, driving working, schooling, errands, no time to sit down at home and cook a healthy meal. But don't worry, actually with a tiny bit of effort and planning you can go to your favorite fast food joint, and most likely find something that's not a greasy hamburger, or french fries, or soda, or a milk shake, or fried chicken nuggets, or pizza, or candy bars, or or or or. You get my drift.

Instead lets look at just 4 common fast food places, and what you can get instead. Ok? Ok. lets go!

McDonalds
Fruit and maple oatmeal
Fruit and yogurt parfait
Southwest grilled chicken salad
Grilled chicken snack wrap
Grilled chicken salad
Small hamburger or small double hamburger

Burger King
Veggie burger
Tender grill chicken sandwich
Grilled chicken Cesar salad

Also, keep in mind, if you want to skip a big meal such as lunch or dinner and you don't have time to make something, you can quickly stop by most convenience stores or gas stations and pick up a Naked Juice smoothie, and a protein bar

There are many easy healthy choices available for all of us busy people on the run, its just a matter of making the commitment to grab a healthy choice rather than that slice of pizza, or hot dog, or fries, or huge burger and soda etc.
